Shipping & Returns

We sell both new and pre-loved, curated items, so our return process is built around keeping every piece resellable. That's part of how we keep the culture circulating.

Return window

You have 30 days from the day you receive your item to request a return. That's well beyond the legal minimum cooling-off period in the EU, which is 14 days, because we want you to actually live with a piece before deciding.

Condition requirements

• All original tags must still be attached.
• For sneakers: try the right shoe on indoors only. The left shoe must stay sealed in its original plastic. Once that seal is broken, the pair can no longer be returned. Since we sell both new and worn sneakers, this seal is the only way we can guarantee a pair's condition for the next owner.
• Items must be returned in their original packaging.
• Proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt) is required.

Who pays for return shipping

The customer covers return shipping costs.

Once your return is approved, you can choose between:

• A refund to your original payment method
• An exchange
• Store credit

How to start a return

Email us at info@2ndculture.nl with your order number. We'll confirm eligibility and send instructions on where to send your item. Please don't send items back without requesting a return first, as we won't be able to accept them.

Refund timing

Once we've received and inspected your return, you can expect your refund within 14 days. Bank or card providers can occasionally take a few extra days to post it on their end.

Damaged or wrong items

Inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If something's damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, email us right away at info@2ndculture.nl and we'll sort it out.

Non-returnable items

Sale items and gift cards can't be returned. Items with a broken seal (see the sneaker condition above) also fall outside our return policy, since we can no longer guarantee their condition.

Legal note

This policy exceeds the EU's statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. We recommend a quick legal review before publishing, especially given worldwide shipping, since return rights outside the EU may differ.

Where we ship

Worldwide. This includes the Netherlands, the rest of Europe, the UK, the US, Canada, Asia, and Australia/New Zealand.

Processing time

Every order ships within 3 business days of payment being received.

Delivery time

• Netherlands: 1 to 4 business days
• International: varies by destination and package size. You'll get tracking as soon as it ships.

Shipping partner

All orders, domestic and international, ship via PostNL and are fully trackable.

Shipping cost

We keep shipping transparent, wherever you're ordering from. Free shipping kicks in once your order hits the threshold for your zone. Below that, a flat rate applies.

Local pickup

Same-day pickup is available at our store: Haarlemmerdijk 144, 1013 JJ Amsterdam.

Accepted methods

iDEAL, PayPal, all major credit cards, and Klarna (buy now, pay later).
