How is 2nd Culture different from other retailers?
Most of our products are in consignment, meaning we source products from independent sellers who use our platforms to sell.

What is consignment?
Consignment means placing any material in the hand of another, but retaining ownership until the goods are sold. Basically, you consign your items to 2ndCulture and we sell them for you. We draw up a basic agreement together, which states what we agreed upon and we sell your products.
How do you determine the quality of the product?

Our experts check every individual item on authenticity and quality. We use a star rating system to be sure that it's always clear what you buy.

DS means unworn with tags, complete and in original box.
We don't sell items below three stars.
Shoes over ten years old don't get a star rating, but we explain the condition in depth. These will always have invisible signs of age, even when they are in deadstock condition.

5.★★★★★ stars means like new. Item is slightly worn but hardly or not visible.
4.★★★★ stars means worn but in good condition. Some signs of wear but no major flaws.
3.★★★ stars means worn condition, signs of wear. But still, plenty of life left.

We don’t sell items below 3 stars.

What is 2nd Culture’s return policy?
All sales are final. Should you have any additional concerns or questions, please contact customer support at 2ndculture.nl. Before you decide to buy an item. Keep in mind that most of our items are pre-owned, that means they might show some signs of wear. We try to be as thorough as possible and all photos you see on our website are photos of the actual product you are purchasing.

How long will it take for my order to ship?
Customers can expect their orders to arrive within 2-3 business days for domestic addresses and 1-2 weeks for international addresses. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed, as shipments may be affected by delays or events outside of our control.

How much does shipping cost?
The cost of domestic shipping is 7 Euro  to the Netherlands, 12 Euro for shipments in the EU and 20 Euro for shipments to the rest of the world.

Will customs and duties be included for international orders?
No. Custom and duty fees for international orders are billed upon package delivery.

Can I pick up my order in store?
Yes, but please inform us when you order.

Do we guarantee authenticity?
Yes, we only sell the real deal! All items are 100% guaranteed authentic. We have experts working for us who have been in the field of luxury items for over 10 years. They authenticate each item before we sell it in our store.

What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept iDeal, American Express, Visa and MasterCard. Bank transfers are also possible if you place your order by email.

Can I reserve an item I saw on your webshop, and see it in-store first before I buy it?
We don’t reserve items since we normally only have one piece of a model. You can always visit our shop in Amsterdam and browse.

Are prices negotiable?
Unfortunately not. Our prices are fixed at the amounts indicated on the webshop.

Do I have to pay sales tax?
2nd Culture is required by law to charge a 21% sales tax. Please contact us by mail for business-to-business purchases.
